Role Description
We are looking for an inspiring leader capable of operating multifaceted community events with the responsibilities for production, revenue, vendor relations, people, and ultimately the guest experience.
Event Director will complete the services within the approved event budget. They acknowledge his/her obligation to maintain the high standards associated with the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce.
This position is fulltime and currently located remote, though when the time comes this position will be located in Excelsior, Minnesota.

Salary: $60,000-70,000 - Depending on Experience

What You Will Be Accountable For…
- Design, install, and produce event experiences from start to end.
- Be active in the community and develop meaningful business relationships to help with growth, brand development, permitting, sponsorship and sales.
- Work within a small and lean organization efficiently and effectively. This position provides autonomy and influence in all aspects of the event.
- Complete responsibility for both the revenue and cost sides of P&L.
- Recruit and train a high performing committee and volunteer teams able to drive business results and deliver a world-class customer experience.
- Lead all planning meetings and committee meetings.
- Oversee day-of event operations.
- Management of event vendors and partners.
- Assist with recruiting sponsors for each event.
- Oversee event follow-up and closure cycle.
- Fulfill sponsorship marketing requirements including social media, print marketing, and website updates.

- Required:
- 10+ years of experience with large-scale events.
- Able to attend all events day-of, including the 4th of July
- Attend all board of director meetings, the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5:30-8 p.m.
- Preferred:
- B2B event experience.
- Background in marketing an event on social media platforms, websites, email, and print.
Salary: $60,000-70,000 - Depending on Experience
